Shear genius: Garden hedge of Red Indian rowing 16ft canoe becomes town attraction (12/06/2010)

At a snip, he could have made a clipper ship. But when keen gardener Glenn Tabor decided to trim his privet hedge into a nautical novelty, he launched a canoe. Using manual shears and an electric trimmer, the 51-year-old joiner carefully shaped his impressive piece of topiary.

£20,000 worth of kit stolen from canoe club (12/06/2010)

Glasgow University Canoe Club has had over £20,000 worth of equipment stolen over the festive period. The sports club had their kit locked in a storage area off-campus in Hyndland while members were away for Christmas and New Year.
